EllisDon’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team is celebrating 20 years of operations!

“I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve been able to do in our 20 years of operation. The creation of this area office is a true reflection of EllisDon’s values, specifically Entrepreneurial Enthusiasm, and living by them daily,” said Wissam Ayoub, Senior Vice President, Middle East and North Africa.

In 2004, EllisDon was looking to expand our business into international markets. At the same time, the Middle East region was growing, and fast. This drew the curiosity of Paul Kirkby, a Vice President in marketing who saw this tremendous growth and the opportunity for EllisDon.

“Paul knew EllisDon had the experience and the reputation for quality that could make a difference,” Ayoub said. “We started as maybe 3 people, consulting on small projects. By nurturing our relationships in the region, we’re now a team of 450, and still growing. It all started because Paul saw a gap that EllisDon could fill, and EllisDon was ready to do it.”

EllisDon’s approach in the region is considered quite different: our priority is the relationship with our client, which allows us to tailor projects to their exact needs and specifications. This fast, fluid and flexible approach, combined with our dedication to doing it right the first time, is the foundation of our continued growth in the region and the opportunities available to us.

In honour of this milestone, here is a quick highlight of some incredible projects we’re proud to have been a part of over the years:

• The Palm Golden Mile – A mixed commercial, retail and residential development in Dubai with 840 apartments ranging from townhomes to penthouses.

• Diriyah North District – The up and coming historic and cultural heart of Riyadh showcasing 300+ years of Saudi Arabian history through engaging and inspiring heritage, hospitality, education, retail and dining experiences.

• Warner Brothers Hotel – The first Warner Brothers branded hotel connected to the Warner Brothers theme park in Dubai, UAE.

• Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) Oncology Centre – A state-of-the-art medical facility built to add to CCAD’s wide range of specialized medical services.
